Last month, more than a hundred high-profile developers, manufacturers and designers from countries such as Italy, France, Germany, and Austria gathered at the internationally-acclaimed Eurocucina. The kitchen furniture and design exhibition is unparalleled when it comes to impact and prestige. It is the only major kitchen trade show in Europe and is said to be the most important on a global scale. Since 1974, it has been staged every two years at Fiera Milano, Italy.

During the recent 6-day event, Smeg revealed its new offerings. It was a showcase of how innovation and sustainability blend with technology and design.

Revolutionary Galileo, a new range of built-in ovens that combines traditional, steam, and microwave functions in one space-saving appliance.

Colorful Portofino range cookers, now available in three sizes - 90, 120 and 150 cm. Aside from the face lift with an Evoscreen color LCD display, the 120 and 150 range cookers have been enhanced with versatile mixed hobs for barbecue and teppanyaki, and more spacious and quick-cooking Pyro Pizza and Pyro SteamONE ovens.

All new Portofino range cookers have matching hoods which can be installed with Aria, a compact air purifier that treats incoming air through two layers including a photocatalytic filter which has shown to reduce the presence of microbiological pollutants such as volatile organic compounds, bacteria, and viruses.

Remote-controlled dishwashers are here.  Thanks to the SmegConnect App, setting, starting and monitoring your dishwasher remotely is possible. The latest Smeg dishwasher models are also enriched with new wash programs including one for silent cycles, another especially for baking trays and bulky dishes, and the 99.9% hygiene-certified program that eliminates 99.9% of germs and bacteria. Best of all, its new energy label reads class A which guarantees maximum energy efficiency.

Innovative Area Induction Hobs which offer the ultimate freedom and flexibility of use. Its Follow Pot and Auto-Pot functions eliminate the need to stick to pre-set cooking areas. There is automatic recognition of position of the pot, so you can move it around but still maintain the initial heat settings.

A 29-bottle capacity wine cooler in 60 cm has been added to the 82 cm and 45 cm variants. Designed in collaboration with expert sommeliers, it is topnotch in preservation management of bottles. The cooler is able to maintain a high humidity level of 60% to 80% and ensures a constant internal temperature through a high-precision digital control system. With 2 independent temperature zones, setting different thermal conditions simultaneously is not a problem.

The Classic and Linea aesthetic lines have expanded with the introduction of the Matte Black finish for Classic and Neptune Gray color for Linea. Matte Black aligns with latest interior design trends that prefer textural effects and nuances from white to black, while the deep and opaque appearance of Neptune Gray provides a fascinating look that covers all kitchen appliances for perfect design coordination.

The iconic FAB refrigerators continue to evolve with special colors and finishings and the most advanced refrigeration technologies. This domestic appliance appears more like an art object as a part of the Divina Cucina collection, a collaboration with Dolce and Gabbana. This includes the FAB28 in the maiolica and cart versions. Another recent design collaboration is with Veuve Clicquot. Available in FAB28 and FAB10, the design reflects the audacious, creative spirit of the 250-year-old Champagne brand.
